Pack 1 pick 1:
My Pick:
I tried the Wharf Infiltrator in the first draft of the marathon so I'll try to go in another direction with the Boon of Emrakul.
Pack 1 pick 2:
My Pick:
I probably should have followed up with a Midnight Scavengers or Certain Death to stay on colour but I took the Lancers here. The double white makes me commit to the colour so I flat out picked incorrectly here. A 4/4 first striker that may find another creature for me is nothing to scoff at but probably not appropriate here.
Pack 1 pick 3:
My Pick:
Foulbloods has jumped up on my valuation list as I've been impressed with it each time I play it. There isn't a lot here anyway as I believe the Foulbloods is better than the Guardian.
Pack 1 pick 4:
My Pick:
Haunted Dead works nicely in WB token decks. Now if only I could grab Borrowed Grace and Spectral Reserves...
Pack 1 pick 5:
My Pick:
More removal is always nice.
Pack 1 pick 6:
My Pick:
2 Restraints and a Boon? I'm actively looking for an Ironclad Slayer now.
Pack 1 pick 7:
My Pick:
Or I can run 3 Restraints?
Pack 1 pick 8:
My Pick:
I think at this point I'll need the creature more than the combat trick.
Pack 1 pick 9:
My Pick:
I'm happy to get this at 9th.
Pack 1 pick 10:
My Pick:
Now I have something at the top of the curve if I can't grab a Faithbearer Paladin.
Pack 1 pick 11:
My Pick:
I'm not sure if I can consistently hit Delirium but even if I can't, the Geist can fend off early attacks.
Pack 1 pick 12:
My Pick:
Pack 1 pick 13:

Pack 1 pick 14:

Pack 1 pick 15:
My Pick:
Pack 2 pick 1:
My Pick:
I'm not sure why I took this, maybe I was thinking it would be possible to splash it. More likely I was trying to grab the rare. I didn't need a 4th Choking Restraints. To be honest, I think I should have grabbed the Paladin or maybe Certain Death.
Pack 2 pick 2:
My Pick:
After I took this I realized it's not that great in this deck. I have 3 Restraints which would leave creatures on the board for my opponent to happily sacrifice to the Oath. I could have grabbed the Reserves I wanted or used this chance to pick the Certain Death.
Pack 2 pick 3:
My Pick:
5 aura removal spells? Where is that Slayer I'm looking for?
Pack 2 pick 4:
My Pick:
Another way to take creatures away from combat. I'll need to start taking some beaters soon.
Pack 2 pick 5:
My Pick:
Nothing in this pack for me. I don't think the Ghoul has a place in this deck since I feel that this will be the aggressive deck in most matchups.
Pack 2 pick 6:
My Pick:
Here we go! I did have to pass up on a Borrowed Grace though and I think this may be my last chance at one but the Slayer is so good in this deck.
Pack 2 pick 7:
My Pick:
The Outrider is a very nice gift at 7th pick.
Pack 2 pick 8:
My Pick:
I'll have to pass on the Spectral Reserves as well - the Slayer works with all of my removal spells.
Pack 2 pick 9:
My Pick:
The Paladin wheeled so I don't feel too bad about raredrafting now.
Pack 2 pick 10:
My Pick:
I get the Certain Death too?
Pack 2 pick 11:
My Pick:
Pack 2 pick 12:
My Pick:
I think I have way too many playables so I'm probably not running a pair of these.
Pack 2 pick 13:
My Pick:
Pack 2 pick 14:
My Pick:
Pack 2 pick 15:
My Pick:
Pack 3 pick 1:
My Pick:
Dead Weight will work even better than the Boon with the Slayers since it's so much cheaper to cast. I'm hoping the Dauntless Cathar comes back around.
Pack 3 pick 2:
My Pick:
That's a disappointing second pick. Maybe I should have grabbed the Ethereal Guidance but I'm sure that will come back around.
Pack 3 pick 3:
My Pick:
This deck is packed with removal spells.
Pack 3 pick 4:
My Pick:
I suppose that this will do for a mass pump spell.
Pack 3 pick 5:
My Pick:
I probably should have taken the second Murderous Compulsion as I have a glut of spells at the 3 slot already.
Pack 3 pick 6:
My Pick:
I don't have a lot of experience with the Chaplain but it fits the curve here so I'll give it a shot.
Pack 3 pick 7:
My Pick:
I hear good things about the Inspector but I probably won't have room for it this time around.
Pack 3 pick 8:
My Pick:
I'm happy with a two drop.
Pack 3 pick 9:
My Pick:
I like cheap combat tricks but I'll see if I have room for this one since I already have so much removal.
Pack 3 pick 10:
My Pick:
Told you it would come back around.

I think this draft went very well in terms of being in the correct colours. Many playables of both colours came my way the whole draft. However, making the correct pick is a different story...

Way more removal than needed. I can't believe that's actually a problem I have but obviously it's better than having no removal at all.
For the first Match my opponent is playing WU and plays Geist of the Archives while I start with a Geist of the Lonely Vigil and Courageous Outrider, which you should know by now crashes the replay. I get to see that I find an Ironclad Slayer though with Boon and Choking Restraints in hand. I end up winning this game somehow. Game 2 I start with an Unruly Mob and follow up with a Slayer getting nothing back. It turns out my opponent is running 3 colours as he plays a Nearheath Chaplain off a Mountain, Island and Plains. We start playing lands and passing the turn until he sacrifices the Chaplain for Drownyard Behemoth. I have Murderous Compulsion in hand but he doesn't seem to want to attack. I misclick and skip my turn forcing me to discard and that triggers the playback to crash. I end up losing this and we go to Game 3. I keep a sketchy hand without a white source but luckily my opponent mulligans to 5 cards. I also hit a Plains on my third draw and play a Foulbloods to square off against his Priest. My Fiend Bender starts to to damage as he uses the Priest to tap down my Foulbloods. My opponent is stuck on two lands so I Boon of Emrakul his Priest to hopefully stall him further. Turns out he thinks the same way and scoops them up on turn 5.
Match 2 feels like a repeat of the last match at my opponent starts with an Island and Plains. He starts of more aggressive than the last opponent though with a Thraben Inspector into Moorland Drifter. I Boon the Drifter to relieve pressure as my first creature would come out on turn 4. Of course I draw a 2 drop my fourth turn but I'll ignore it and play Courageous Outrider. It finds me and Unruly Mob which is strange because there's also an Ironclad Slayer that would have been perfect to grab back the Boon. I'm not sure what I was thinking here and unfortunately I won't be able to see if that was the reason I lost the game since the replay crashed after the Outrider trigger. Game 2 my Ghoulcaller's Accomplice trades with his Field Creeper and I replace it with a Geist of the Lonely Vigil. My opponent plays a Forest and casts Thraben Inspector and he immediately pops the clue. I play the Outrider again and this time I grab the Slayer. Once again, the replay crashes and this is pretty early in the game so I don't know exactly how I lost, but I go 0-2 this match and don't make it to the winner's table. Maybe I should avoid drafting the Outrider for the sake of this blog...
My opponent for the last match is playing BG and his Wailing Ghoul is holding off my Unruly Mob. Thraben Foulbloods joins his team as the replay crashing Outrider joins mine, grabbing an Ironclad Slayer... I take this game and hopefully the Outrider isn't in my opening hand for Game 2 or the replay will be short-lived! As I fire up the replay for Game 2, I see that the Outrider is in my starting 7. Surprisingly the replay crashes even earlier! My opponent tries to cast something on turn 2 which throws the replay off. The thing with this bug is that although the replay stops and the chat screen stops, the timer is still going. Very strange but if you wait long enough eventually the winner is declared in the game chat as if I was watching the replay the whole time without any problems. Anyway, I lose this one and we go to Game 3. I'm stuck on 2 lands but my Ghoulcaller's Accomplice gets in for some damage as my opponent only has a Vessel of Nascency in play. I add an Unruly Mob and he pops the Vessel to dig into his deck. This causes the replay to crash as well. I end up winning this Game and taking the Match.
I apologize for these replays as I know they aren't as in depth as some of the other ones but it's hard to recreate the game when MTGO refuses to let me see anything past turn 4. Maybe I should have played more of the removal spells but it's tough to say since I don't know how I lost a majority of these games. Hopefully the next draft can be retold in more detail.
