The Rules
Here are the rules that I will be adhering to as I try to go infinite on MTGO.
One:
I will start with 200 tickets. That's it. I will see how far I can stretch that out. Most of the time I will be drafting but I am willing to play anything (I plan to play Mormir Basic eventually). The goal is to be able to stay current in terms of getting cards in the new sets as they come out and to play competitively.
Two:
I know this may be controversial but I will be rare drafting. The point of the project is to see if I can play MTGO continuously without putting in any extra money. This could be by making a great deck and winning the whole draft. This could also be picking a card that greatly subsidizes the draft or pays for the whole thing entirely and if that's the case then I'm picking up said card. I believe I'm a good player but it's hard to argue with a sure thing if I pick up money cards.
Three:
Which leads me to the next rule. I will be selling cards from previous drafts to fund the next ones. I may not sell everything as I intend to amass a collection and perhaps play in constructed formats eventually.
Four:
Once I feel that I have drafted a format enough, I may slow down or even stop and wait for the new set. This can be either when the format doesn't interest me anymore or I feel that I have the majority of the cards I need. This usually means having playsets of all the commons for PDC.
